Upstox is India’s second largest discount broking platforms, with trusted clientele from all over the country. Our mission was to conceptualize, design and execute an influencer marketing campaign for them with the goal of achieving maximum account sign ups and app downloads.

Having observed the investment behaviour of people in India, we realised that a trustworthy voice of guidance plays a major role when it comes to money matters. Therefore, our sole objective was to enhance the outreach, engagement and revenue of Upstox with influencer activities. We had also collaborated with the Upstox team to strategies and optimise the content, which in turn would create awareness and outreach among the existing stock market investors and beginners alike.

We went live with our plan in February, 2019, dividing the campaign into four phases – awareness, consideration, action, and feedback. Influencers put up original content in their own different styles throughout the four phases of the campaigns, over Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Quora, LinkedIn, and their own websites. The content helped us understand invaluable information such as audience sentiments, custom coupon code redemption to track ROIs, lead generation, and of course, far-reaching brand awareness and engagement.

The campaign was planned to be launched on 15th February and it lasted till 30th April 2019. The time was chosen keeping the financial year-end in mind as this is the time when people look for investment options to park their extra income. With increasing response to the content, we introduced the feedback stage of the campaign that helped us build trust and understanding with the audience. This way we could close the loop with our target audiences, generate useful customer insights and provide added impulse for higher word-of-mouth referrals.
